I am starting to put together a list what I need to take with me to my first convention. I have two lists and advice from two scrapbookers.

I finally got back into blogger.
Hello, Welcome to my scrapbook and card making BLOG. I have been away far too long.
Update. My dear friend M has been giving me support and pushing as well to get me out of my rut after surgery. It is working.
She has encouraged me to join her card exchange group. Last week we choose a potential card and I made an example.
Yesterday I started to create the cards. First I stamped a special rose on white card stock. Then I embossed a green background. Next white card stock was cut for the body of the card. I kept the hardest part for last. The stamp has a matching die that makes a three dimensional rose. I had several stamped papers that were not acceptable and I practiced. Then I used the die to cut the cut the good papers. I could have done better and may make additional stamped papers before finishing the cards.
I am in a holding position on the next step. I need to use pop ups to hold the die dimensional areas up and then fasten the various layers together.
Monday is my goal.

Getting Scrapbooking Supplies in Order
I am slowly putting all my scrapbooking supplies in order in my craft studio. I have purchased two Iris Scrapbook Central Rolling Carts that come with six Iris 12" x 12" Clear Snap-top Scrapbook Cases. I already purchased some special Iris cases in Black Friday specials in November. They are all filled and I have my embellishments on the Paper Studio Clip and Spin Organizer.
The envelopes, paper and cardstock are still needing organization. When Achiever's went out of business locally I purchases one of the stands for paper. I still need to figure where to put it before I start loading it with paper, cardstock and paper/cardstock stacks. When finished it will be covered with a thin plastic sheet to keep dog hair and dust out.

Moving Scrapbooking and card making to Studio
I have slowly been moving all the equipment for these projects to my studio. Currently they are not well organized, but I have three weeks before vacation to work on it.
The first scrapbook I am going to work on will be the Christmas one. I have a great many pictures that my SIL took the past Christmas's and I will use a Santa picture of my GS as the primary for each year. Then I will go from there will paper, cardstock, stamps and dimensional papers for picture frames. I haven't gotten it all in mind yet. Will have to start with one holiday and work my way through.

My local Scrapbooking shop is closing.
I could cry!
This was the only scrapbook and card making shop locally that specialized in scrapbooking. I am devastated to say the least.
They are selling everything wall to ceiling to floor. They are also closing their on line shop. Oh my. What am I going to do?
Go shopping and pick up was I know that I need.

Purchases last week
I hit the bargain bins At Michael's and Hobby Lobby last week and the Internet as well. I now have three scrapbooks to work on. The Original which is Genealogy, A Disney(R) and a Christmas.
Certainly Christmas Card stock will be available this week at Joann's at a discount. Then I have to raid my daughter's photo album (digital I hope) and start filling in the various years. I was the photographer in 2011 and 2012. Hope to find the pictures this week.
Wednesday I am scheduled to go to Marco's Papers for the Book Club. My scanner isn't hooked up and I wanted to gather some autumn leaves and scan then onto card stock for the "book". See what I can do.
